Cranfield Aerospace Solutions (CAeS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Pendry as Director of External Relations – a key strategic role in furthering CAeS’ goal to develop the world’s first fully certified, zero-emissions, hydrogen aircraft.

Scott joins CAeS from the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) where he oversaw the ATI’s external relations programme, ensuring the Institute maintains regular two-way dialogue with its wide stakeholder network.

His previous roles span public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations and corporate communications. While at the ATI he also established the Institute’s international engagement programme, including the creation of bilateral funding calls with governments overseas.

“I’m delighted to be starting at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions as Director of External Relations. One of very few aerospace SMEs globally to have both whole aircraft design capability, as well as holding a range of regulatory approvals for the design and manufacture of modifications to aircraft, CAeS has decades of experience and is well placed to deliver the technology needed to create the future of aviation. I’m very excited about joining CAeS on their journey to realise the world’s first fully certified zero-emissions passenger aircraft and after seven excellent years at the ATI, CAeS felt like a natural fit for me.”
