Evia Energy, an affiliate of Evia Aero GmbH, and Cranfield Aerospace Solutions Limited today agreed to partner in the development of airport infrastructure to enable both electric and hydrogen-electric aircraft operations at regional airports.
This global arrangement offers the potential for turn-key solutions to create sustainable airports, generating a revenue stream from renewable energy sources that can provide sustainable fuels and energy for zero emissions manned and unmanned aircraft.
Florian Kruse, CEO of Evia Energy stated, “We have been working with CAeS for the supply of hydrogen-electric powered versions of the BN Islander for our future airline operations. Our business model necessitates the early cooperation with regional airports to ensure the infrastructure is available to support future electric and hydrogen aircraft operations. By coordinating our activities with CAeS we expect to deliver value to the airport operators alongside provision for the refuelling of manned and unmanned operations as aviation develops into the future.”
